New bookstore, TBR Books, makes its debut in downtown Owasso

Downtown Owasso is now home to a new bookstore!

TBR Books is celebrating its grand opening in the Redbud District today.

Owners Jay and Sara McElroy said they wanted to bring a new literary concept to their hometown community for local readers of all ages to explore.

“There’s a little bit of a space for everyone to kind of hang out and be comfy,” Sara said. “I want them to feel invited; it’s a safe space, everybody’s welcome.”

Jay added: “We want to provide an escape from life for a second and be able to just enjoy and read a book.”

The husband-and-wife duo offer a range of genres that include fantasy, sci-fi, young adult, historical fiction, romance, mystery thriller horror, and more.
